Google is releasing a new chrome extension, ‘Application Launcher’ for Google Drive that allows users to open files directly from its Google Drive service in compatible apps on a Mac or PC. Using this extension you do not need to download any file, you just need to open Drive, right click the file you want to view and select “Open With” option.
